From Andalucía With Love

Greetings to all, from a beautiful Granada and Andalucía in general.

I will for sure write more, but for some odd reason I have a headache today (something about not eating enough... and having wine for breakfast ), so you will have to wait ;)

Anyway, here are some photo's!

From Frankfurt to Malaga...

My first Bob Ross-picture of the trip. The Sierra Nevada awaits!!

Elena invited me to a dinner/party. 5 minutes before we had to be there :) Result? Lots of rum, wine and food...

And later I had to go and pick up Esther...

Result below... She has some really cool colleagues ;)

It's great weather here, so a tour through the Albaizin is always nice!

My future house...

Siempre, que bonita... :)

"We are cool"

Just how hard is it to conceal some wiring :)

Preparing for Xmas Eve :)

Almita with one of her presents. Very cute little 5-year old niece of Esther.

"Early morning" on Xmas day. The beach at Torre Del Mar.

I know, I know, it's early...

Playing pictionary. This was one of the more quiet moments :)

Up in the mountains. Snowcovered olive groves.

Up in the Sierra Nevada. Japie is taking a picture of me taking a picture...

Absolutely fantastic view...

Having lunch at 2000 m is quite something. And no, it's actually water I am drinking!

Another Bob Ross-photo!!

That's it so far... More photo's to come.

For now: Happy New Year!!

Aaaannddd... here we go again!

So, in 2 days I am off again to my beloved warmer country. Almost a second home, you might say!

A long trip... up at 5 am, 9 am plane to Frankfurt, then 4 hours waiting around (I hate that...) and the late afternoon landing in Malaga. Bus to Granada and there at 9 pm, if lucky...

*sigh* I get tired by the mere thought of it! But ok, "because it's worth it" ;)

The last weeks here in DK have been long & dark and filled with crap weather, too much work and numerous examples of the extremely pathetic levels of service one is shown in this city...
A few weeks ago I sent Guillaume a Danish newspaper article about the psychological consequences of the crap service of waiters in Paris, but perhaps they should look first in their own backyard, walk around a bit here and try to meet someone who delivers a decent service in a shop or cafe. It's really really sad... I actually walked out of a shop the other day. Fuck it. The guy 'helping' apparently had no intention of selling me something. Pffff... many people here really don't have any business sense whatsoever... too spoiled!
*sigh* this can turn into a scathing rant on that topic, but will keep that for another day...

Let's keep a happy and cheery Xmas tone! (I hope you hear the scathing sarcasm...)

This time, almost 4 weeks in Andalucía. I can't wait!

I will bring laptop, camera and all that, so hope to keep you updated with Xmas photo's and old friends. Many many plans... too bad one of the first ones didn't work out: going to Betis - Barcelona with Dani.
Finally we would have a chance, after all these years, to visit a game together, but unfortunately the game is cancelled: Barcelona prefers to play some crappy (but lucrative) club tournament in Japan or something. Just as I am coming!! It's a disgrace!! Get your arses back here!!

Okokokok... I'm off now: laundry, Xmas shopping, packing, cleaning and all that is waiting for me...

Next post will be from Calle Horno de Abad in Granada! Hasta la proxima!!
